The Pieter Smit Group is founded by Pieter Smit. The group is a very stable and financial healthy group of companies specialised in logistical services. The group services are divided in 6 divisions. With approximately 60 employees, over 400 truck units, offices in Belgium, Portugal, Germany and Poland, the Pieter Smit Group is a leading player in the market for tour, entertainment and event logistics.
GPS (Global Pieter Smit B.V.) as member of the Pieter Smit Group, is a partnership between Mr. Smit, van Aalderen and van der Poel.
The activities can be divided in six divisions:
- Pieter Smit Show Services BV:
Offers integrated logistical services: touring, storage and related logistics services in Europe. Mainly touring of local and international theatre and music productions.
- Pieter Smit Theater Rock BV:
Truck, trailer and luxury car rental & lease services. Fleet management.
- Cars BV:
In-house car, truck and trailer services and repair. Construction of special transportation equipment related to the touring and event industry.
- Global Pieter Smit BV:
International Motorsport, Entertainment and Project Logistics (air, sea and road transportation).
- Pieter Smit Container Storage BV:
Re-constructions and rental services of all types of containers. As well as supply of containers for storages purposes. Temperature controlled container storage.
- Pieter Smit Trucking BV:
National- and European special transport services for events.
